Donny Hue and the Colors — Folkmote Buy it at Amazon
Folkster funky pop fanatics Donny Hue and his merry group the Colors, make happy-go-lucky an art form on “Folkmote”. Utilizing a wide array of exotic instruments including theremin, glockenspiels, melodicas, autoharps, organs, and plenty of vocal harmonies, the group managed to compose a symphonic gesture that is both unique and breathtaking. Plenty of the standard indie rock fan-boys will find “Folkmote” fascinating in scope and dare; I’d say this was one album that should be had and studied religiously.
