Perhaps no one can explain the sheer ferocity and timid quietness it is better than when vocalist Craig Owens says “we don’t want to let the kids down” when discussing the group’s intense vocals live at shows. Well they never let a single kid down with their vicious assault on the ears and grip on the jugular...

About MANIAC:
"Maniac is a heavy metal album that will fit as well in 1985 as it will in 2008. Many people describe us as thrash band, really we're a metal band with a lot of
influences, you'll hear a lot of Megadeth and Exodus in us, as well as more classic Maiden and Judas Priest. We like to keep things fast and heavy, but at
the same time harmony and melody are very important. We haven't forsaken everything that is new, but we've definately tried to hold true to what classic metal really is. Our album can hold its own against any of the metal classics, and will blow any of this new metal stuff right out of the water" - Michael Andreas: Lead Guitar and Founding Member of MARTYRD
MANIAC will unleash a thrash metal attack that captures what MATYRD's growing fan base have loved and admired. The title track can be described as a slightly schizo ride through the head of a madman forced on antipsychotic drugs, the track "Betrayal" displays the band's technical wizardry, for the ladies there is the ballad "Six", and of course fast and heavy neck-breakers like "Blue and Black" and "Soldier of Fortune."
THE BAND:
Aaron (singer) -Aaron never even listened to metal before he joined the band. Aaron used to sing broadway-style show tunes. His voice is trained very differently from anyone else in metal today. He can do anything any of them can, but has an appreciation for singing from a whole other perspective.
Dan (guitar) - Mike might he the primary songwriter, but Dan is a close second. Dan grew up listening to Overkill and Megadeth, he's always been a thrasher! Lately he's getting into a lot of Dream Theater and Marty Friedman kind of stuff, and the benefits are written all over his lead playing.
Mike (guitar) - Mike is the primary songwriter and arranger for Martyrd. His writing and lead techniques are influenced heavily by Testament and Alex Skolnick, as well as, many of the great metal guitarists. Through his time playing with Nuclear Assault's John Connelly and lessons with Favored Nations recording artist Rob Balducci, Mike has defined his technique and continues to put it to good use.
Adam (drummer) - Adam cut his teeth playing Rush and Dream Theater songs and later grew an appreciation for metal drummers such as Paul Bostaph, Dave Lobardo, and Gene Hoglan. His progressive background gave him a taste for interesting and different drumming techniques and his new found love of metal gave him an aggressive edge.
Kevin (bass) - Kevin fills in the low end like no one else can. He started out a big Metallica fan, but has lately been influenced by bands such as Lamb of God, Trivium, and God Forbid. You can catch him listening to Overkill one minute and Avenged Sevenfold the next. He rounds out the sound by keeping us grounded and bringing that touch of 2008 to our music.

Flawless Trombone Execution Is Don Immel Trademark On His New CD
DON IMMEL
LONG WAY HOME
Don Immel plays trombone, and how he plays it! If you dig deep into his biography, you uncover some interesting nuggets. His grandfather was a Professor of Music at a Los Angeles College and Don’s father was a public school music director for 43 years. Don himself taught trombone at several universities before stepping onstage himself to play with major symphony orchestras (who knew they even used trombones?) and backing big-time jazz acts like Chris Botti. But Immel also picked up some spare change over the years playing on Hollywood film soundtracks (“Matrix 3: Revolutions,” “The Newton Boys,” “The Mothman Prophecies,” “Keeping The Faith” and “Crocodile Dundee in L.A.”). So guess what, it’s in his blood. His uncle Jerrold composed music for film and television (the themes for “Dallas,” “Knots Landing” and “How the West Was Won”).
A couple of other interesting biographical details. Don Immel, from Seattle, currently lives in Denmark and plays there not only with a world-class symphony, but also his own Bryggeriet Chill Project (“It’s the Danish word for brewery because we got our start playing at micro-breweries”). Immel also founded Quake -- an avant garde chamber group with woodwinds, strings, percussion and trombone – that mixes Schubert, John Cage and pop tunes with painters, dancers and storytellers for a multi-media presentation that has featured such guests as Walter Gray of the Kronos String Quartet.
Now get this. Immel says, “I am excited about combining the technical aspects of classical music with the freedom of jazz along with the energy and excitement of contemporary pop forms. I don’t feel restricted by my instrument.” Well that’s for sure. On his debut CD, he plays trombone on tracks ranging from smooth jazz to chill to vocal blues to new age to trad-jazz to modern-classical. Wow! Let me say it again. Wow!
Immel is an extremely proficient trombone player. If you want to simply sit back and enjoy the warm tones of his horn, listen to the soft-and-slow “Leaving Paradise” and “Still In Love.” His band gets on a funk kick with “Lemonade Alchemy” and “See The Memo.” He taps into smooth electronica or techno chill on “Dualife” and “Charm Offensive,” but what makes it warmer than most music in those genres is that he is playing a natural instrument that uses the human breath which takes the edge off the electronic elements. The CD also shows what Immel can do as a composer, producer and arranger. Long Way Home can be purchased online at CDbaby.com, amazon.com, digital download locations such as iTunes and Napster, and at his own website (donimmel.com).
Not a masterwork, but a darn fine album for a debut. And shouldn’t everyone have at least one album in their collection that features a trombone?

AHN TRIO’S FIFTH CD SHOWS WHY THEY ARE LEADERS IN CLASSICAL CROSSOVER
AHN TRIO’S FIFTH CD SHOWS WHY THEY ARE LEADERS IN CLASSICAL CROSSOVER
AHN TRIO
From the moment the Ahn Trio stepped onto the international music scene stage, they have defied categorization, broken musical barriers and revolutionized perceptions of classical music. They have become leaders in diversifying classical music in the 21st Century. Their trendsetting legacy continues with their fifth recording, Lullaby for my Favorite Insomniac, their debut CD on SONY BMG Masterworks (RCA Red Seal).
Korean-born and Juilliard-trained, the Ahns are sisters – violinist Angella, pianist Lucia and cellist Maria. The trio builds bridges between diverse musical genres and transcends any preconceptions that exist in the classical music scene by embracing 21st century classical music as well as utilizing elements of new age, jazz, pop, folk, minimalism, avant-garde, chill, lounge and hip-hop. The trio works with composers who have many diverse influences, and the Ahns also continue to collaborate with many different types of artists.
"Every century has its own distinctive style of classical music," states Angella, "and our album reflects classical music in the 21st Century which, of course, is influenced by all different types of music in this modern era. We live in New York City and can't help but be inspired by all the exciting new music and art around us. Incorporating these elements feels like an entirely organic progression to us. We don't purposely set out to be rebellious."
These musical sisters thrive on dissolving the barriers between art forms. They have fused their music with that of modern dancers (such as the David Parsons Dance Company), pop singers, club DJs, performance artists, photographers, lighting designers, installation artists, ecologists and even kite makers. Ahn Trio tours regularly and has sold out concert venues, from packed clubs to prestigious concert halls, all over the world.
Possessing an enviable combination of talent, style and beauty, the Ahn sisters have long been favorite subjects for the international press. The group initially made a big splash when they were featured early on in Time magazine (the cover heralded "Asian-American Whiz Kids"). They have gone on to be frequently featured on fashion pages in magazines such as Vogue, GQ, Harpers Bazaar, W, Marie Claire and Town & Country. Angella, Lucia and Maria also were named three of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People" in 2003, not just for their beauty but also for their outstanding musical accomplishments.
Their first album of trio compositions by Ravel and Villa-Lobos won rave reviews ("This is one of Ravel's best, and never better played" - Audion Magazine). Their second recording won an ECHO Award (Germany's Grammy equivalent) and featured interpretations of pieces by Dvorak and Shostakovich. The trio then recorded two albums that introduced works that were written especially for them and which highlighted living composers. For their new CD on SONY BMG Masterworks, the Ahns planned an album they had been dreaming of doing for several years: their modern classical take on what they call “lullabies fit for 21st Century insomniacs.”
"Lullabies are traditionally very simple and beautiful melodies that are small yet powerful in their emotional content. In every culture they are the same. We started by choosing lullaby-worthy material and then did 'modern classical' treatments of them which for us meant creating something edgy but at the same time minimalistic since lullabies should always be simple," explains Maria Ahn. "Primarily our ingredients were our acoustic instruments with some very, very subtle electronica elements and a few non-classical singers."
In addition to the title track by Kenji Bunch, they chose his "Dies Irie" and "Magic Hour" (the latter the fifth movement of his "Swing Shift" suite), and also had him arrange the classic Rodgers & Hart standard "My Funny Valentine." "We met Mary Rodgers, Richard Rodgers' daughter, while at Juilliard so we chose this tune as a tribute to her."
Also on the CD are two compositions by acclaimed-film-composer Michael Nyman – "Big My Secret" and the famous theme from the score for the film “The Piano” ("The Heart Asks Pleasure First") – with special transcriptions created by Nyman for the Ahn Trio. According to Lucia, “Nyman is one of our absolute favorite composers of our time. He is truly the innovator of a brand new approach to the modern soundscape.” Nyman, equally enthusiastic about working with the Ahns, calls them "my all-time favorite piano trio with a rare passion for new music.”
On the new recording, the Ahn Trio also perform "Song On The Land" by piano prodigy and composer Ronn Yedidia (another who attended Juilliard), whom they enlisted to transcribe two other tracks – an instrumental version of the Korean pop hit "Dream" by JY Park (considered to be the Korean "P. Diddy") and the classic folk song "Solitary Singer" (written by folk icon and Disney film composer Terry Gilkyson for his 1948 Armed Forces radio show). "We fell in love with Laurie Lewis' version, so we used her arrangement as our starting point," Angella explains.
The album contains eight pieces new to the group's recorded repertoire including Susie Suh's "All I Want," arranged by the Ahn Trio with Susie singing. The CD also includes newly-recorded versions of four compositions that appeared on previous CDs: "Magic Hour" by Kenji Bunch, "The Heart Asks Pleasure First" by Michael Nyman, Astor Piazzolla's "Oblivion" and their instrumental transcription of the David Bowie-Pat Metheny hit "This is Not America." Club-mix versions of four tunes are included as bonus tracks. "The remixes were pure fun," states Lucia. "We wanted international sound designers to take our music and make something completely new out of it."
Lullaby for my Favorite Insomniac was recorded in Prague in the Czech Republic. The trio had recently traveled there to perform at the Czech Angel Awards (that country’s Grammys) with one of the country's top rock bands, the Tata Bojs, and two of the best Czech music producers – Dusan Neuwerth (also a member of Tata Bojs) and Jan P. Muchow (who plays in the experimental rock duo The Ecstasy of Saint Theresa). The Ahn sisters then asked Neuwerth and Muchow to co-produce the album with the trio.
The Ahns feel that Lullaby for my Favorite Insomniac is “a reflective yet impulsive album” acknowledging who they are at this moment in time. "It's a concept we wanted to explore at this time in our career, and it is very personal because it is the first album that we were involved in the production," Maria explains.
The Ahn Trio is already looking ahead to the future. Their next album will consist of all original works written especially for the trio. They are waiting with great anticipation a new Triple Concerto being written for them by Mark O'Conner. Upcoming plans include a recording collaboration with the Tata Bojs; performances in New York City, Mexico and Chicago, a new recording of their Christmas EP, and a tour in China and Korea that will include the premiere of Kenji Bunch's Hardware Triple Concerto in China.
Lullaby for my Favorite Insomniac can be purchased in stores nationwide as well as at online sales outlets including the Sony-BMG Music Entertainment Store (shop.myplay.com) and Amazon.com, or digital download locations such as iTunes. For more information on the Ahn Trio, visit sonybmgmasterworks.com, ahntrio.com or myspace.com/ahntrio.

Bruce Sudano Takes Top Spot On Top 30 Countdown
Bruce Sudano is a singer/songwriter/producer/musician… More prominently known as a successful songwriter whose credits include “Bad Girls” (Donna Summer), “Starting Over” (#1 for Dolly Parton), (Reba McIntire), “Tighter and Tighter” (Alive ‘N’ Kickin’) and “Tell Me I’m Not Dreaming” (Jermaine and Michael Jackson) ...this man has done it all.
He began his musical career in his hometown Brooklyn as a part of 'Alive ‘N’ Kickin’ whose first single went to #7. Shortly after, Bruce moved to LA and enjoyed a successful career as a part of Brooklyn Dreams. Almost overnight this trio propelled upwards with hit singles like “Music, Harmony & Rhythm” and “Heaven Knows”, a call and response collaboration with Donna Summer. They developed a friendship with Ms. Summer and toured with her on her Summer Nights Dream Tour. Amidst a packed schedule, the trio delved into film by portraying the Planotones in “American Hot Wax”, and hosted ABC-TV’s “The Midnight Special”. As the musical climate began to change in the ‘80s, they decided to pursue solo careers.
Bruce settled down in Nashville, home of the American songwriter where he continues to write hits for other artists. Now married to the disco diva Donna Summer, and father to actress Brooklyn Sudano (My Wife and Kids), as well as two other daughters, their home is filled with love and talent. When he’s not producing, promoting and performing with the special woman in his life, he spends his time creating beautiful music of his own. His 2004 release “Rainy Day Soul” sent 3 singles soaring high on the AC charts, and he was awarded Best New Contemporary Artist by AC Weekly Magazine amidst stiff competition from John Mayer, Seal and Josh Groban.
His latest single, “The Sweetest Thing” is following suit at #3 on AC this week. It’s receiving an overwhelming response by radio, and this is just the beginning. Even better, "The Sweeting Thing" has also hit #1 at The Independent Music Network's Mainstream Top 30 Countdown in early May.
For more information on Bruce, please contact Cindy da Silva at da Silva Artists, 201 920-9027 or dasilvaartists@aol.com.

CLear Channel Music Digs Singer Tony Adamo
Clear Channel Digs Tony Adamo
Press Release by UrbanZone Productions
Franki LaMantia, San Francisco, CA
Singer/songwriter, Tony Adamo’s song, “No Strings” from his STRAIGHT UP DEAL release on UrbanZone Records has recently been added to clearchannelmusic.com music site. Clear Channel Communications is the largest owner of full power AM/FM radio stations in the United States. Clear Channel has made “No Strings,” (produced by Jerry Stucker) available to its radio programmers across the U.S. Adamo’s funky groove music is getting outstanding radio airplay and reviews from all over the world.
Stuart Hamilton of Amazon.co.uk wrote, “The first thing that leaps out at you is Adamo’s voice. Imagine if you can, it’s like Rou Rawls fronting Tower of Power.” With this being said, the unique funky sound on “No Strings” was locked in by Mic Gillette, a Tower of Power band member for more than nineteen years. Mic’s stellar horn arrangement (utilizing the horn section of past and present members of TOP including Stephen ‘Doc’ Kupka and Skip Mesquite), is pure smooth groove that sets up the dynamic blending between Adamo’s voice and the rhythm section. Edward Blanco of Ejazznews.com wrote “STRAIGHT UP DEAL reveals the vocal talents of a superior singer.” Sandy Shore of Smoothjazz.com gave STRAIGHT UP DEAL a rating of 5 Stars and said, “Think of Adamo as Lou Reed but - funkified.”

A rising star of the New York City music scene, Lenny Revell bring his critically acclaimed songs and music to The Paramount Hotel in NYC. This is a great opportunity to see a brilliant young composer up close and personal. Jeff Miers of The Buffalo News called Lenny " a modern-day Elton John." Showtime is 7:00 pm and admission is $5.00. Please go to Lenny Revell's website for updates and added shows.
Incorporating the piano as the forefront instrument that swims in a sea of rock, pop, and soul, Lenny Revell's a modern-day torch-bearer for the personas of Elton John and Billy Joel. His accomplishments have been well noted in outlets such as Keyboard Magazine, Teen Ink Magazine, Rochesterathome.com, The Buffalo News, and ArtVoice. His extensive travels have brought him recognition in many cities such as New York City, Buffalo, Los Angeles, Nashville, Branson, Miami, Coral Springs, Toronto, and more. He carries on the tradition of timeless, catchy melodies packaged in everyday lessons reflecting human nature.
Lenny Revell's album "Lessons" introduces the world to a Eurasian’s vision of eastern philosophy mixed into the format of a modern pop/rock sound. Each song is a "lesson", explaining how mankind can better himself through the process of self examination, in a world fueled by superficiality and limited mindsets. The CD empowers the listener to take personal responsibility for their own thoughts and actions, bringing about timeless staples of idealism in an ever changing society. Mixed in with these self-help melodies is the dark humor employed in songs like Ghost or Prelude/Revenge of Little Red Riding Hood that's a throwback from the golden age of the 20th century layered with a contemporary feel.

Between the Trees is Ryan Kirkland: guitar/lead vocals, Brad Kriebel: guitar/vocals, Wes Anderson: keyboards/percussion, Jeremy Butler: bass and Josh Butler: drums
The mission of Between the Trees lies in plain view. It’s not just in the music, though their sound is a wonder: hard-hitting, ambitious, accessible, riddled with unforgettable hooks that course through a sonic landscape of open vistas, quiet private spaces and sun-drenched, slamming beats. Certainly there’s much to appreciate in their words, from celebrations of love (“White Lines & Red Lights”) to meditations on despair (“The Way She Feels” & “A Time for Yohe”). But an even greater truth stands Between the Trees … literally. It’s in the name itself – specifically, in the space staked out by its suggestion of beginning and end. “One tree represents where time and existence begins,” ventures lead singer Ryan Kirkland. “The other is the end of everything. Between them is the time we’re given on Earth. What matters is what we do with that time.”
You can’t get simpler – or more profound – than that. And it’s not only the starting point for what you hear from these five guys. It’s also the creed that’s driven them to accomplish something extraordinary. To appreciate this, as you spin The Story and The Song, remember this: Just three years ago, as the group was coming together, some of its members hadn’t even begun to master their instruments. “Playing well wasn’t what drew us to each other,” Ryan explains. “We figured that we would become good at what we did with time, and we didn’t worry about how long that would take. What was always most important to us was our personal connections to each other. With that, we knew that we’d be able to do whatever we needed to do.”
The independent release under Manager David McKenna’s Bonded Records that landed on three Billboard charts in first week without true distribution … the subsequent distribution deal with Universal Fontana that allowed the band to sell thousands more records without a major label … the recent joint venture of Bonded with Universal Motown making BTT the first “upstream” from a Universal indie to a Universal major … the two sold-out tours through the entire UK… the confirmation for the entire 2008 Warped Tour… the fans whose MySpace and website posts testify to their trust, loyalty and love …
None of these witnesses to this band’s rise might have believed, at one time, that anyone could climb so far, so quickly. Yet now, knowing Between the Trees, you could say that doing anything less would have been more of a surprise. Their story – and their songs – trace back to the friendship that grew between Ryan and Josh some seven years ago. Ryan had been playing guitar for about a year; Josh announced that he was a drummer. “So,” Ryan says, laughing, “someone who was not a great guitarist and someone who lied about playing drums started this band.”
Josh’s brother Jeremy soon wanted to come onboard; though he’d never played bass, he picked up the basics from Ryan. They worked as a trio for a while, morphed into an acoustic act, and then ran into Wes Anderson; he was recruited to play keyboards, though his previous experience was his high school drumcore. Maybe seven months later, willing to try anything once, they added an actual experienced musician, Brad Kriebel, who had been playing guitar with hardcore bands around Orlando for a few years. Thus the stage was set and, early in 2005, Between the Trees began its adventures.
Their first steps were small. With most of them still in high school, they concentrated on local gigs: parties, church events and downtown clubs like the Social. After securing management, the plan was set forth to make their own full-length album. Manager McKenna formed Bonded Records for the purpose of this release and booked them with producer Pete Thornton (Shinedown, Paramore, Day of Fire). For six weeks, before tape rolled, they locked themselves into an intense pre-production regimen. The plan was to get their material ready to record; the result was that plus maybe five new songs that rocked as hard and spoke as truthfully as everything they’d already written.
“It was super-stressful,” Ryan admits. “We usually write from experience, and it was hard to just sit in a room and pound out our ideas; that wasn’t much of an experience at all. So we left the studio and went out into the neighborhood, into this nearby park area, almost like children. Kids can escape easily from the mundane, day-to-day routine; it’s not so easy for us to get away and find ourselves again in that way. But we learned that again by going out into the forest, getting dirty and remembering why we do what we do. It was totally inspirational.”
That spirit drives The Story and The Song. “The Forward” opens the album like a rocket; “You Cry a Tear to Start a River” brings it back, its good-time, sing-along beat cushioning a gentle descent into the shelter offered by hope. Everything in the middle – between these trees of liftoff and coming home – sums up what Between the Trees is about.
Now that the record is in the hands of Universal Motown, the world is the oyster for this young band. This acclaimed album is being re-released with fresh mixes from Mark Endert (Maroon 5, Madonna, Gavin Degraw); these songs are sure to be gracing the airwaves, big screen, and small screen in the very near future. The world is about to learn that the meaning of Between the Trees involves more than music; it’s the beginning of comfort and joy, wisdom and celebration. This is a band not to be taken lightly and never to be forgotten, whose secrets and pleasures are there for all to enjoy … between the trees.

Hurry Hurry Hurry!!
Still time to Vote!!
Best post wins an all expenses paid trip to meet Spike Lee at next month’s Cannes Film Festival and a ticket to the first BOFF Awards Ceremony
BABELGUM ONLINE FILM FESTIVAL/News Update
Top rated films this week are from Italy, France, Norway and the USA
London, 22nd.April 2008 – Voting fever reigns at the first Babelgum Online Film Festival (BOFF) on Babelgum, the new interactive web TV portal. Over a thousand entries from 86 countries are available to anyone with broadband, reaching a potential global audience of 360 million.
The Babelgum Online Film Festival is the first of its kind, and provides a unique distribution opportunity for the newest filmmaking talent. A number of entries have been created specifically for the festival, proving that it is also generating new and original content.
Top Films of the week April 14/20: Get a grip on your life…..and enjoy!! That seems to be the message from this week’s most popular films in the Babelgum Online Film Festival, the first BOFF. We can allow ourselves a little more pleasure, be brave in the face of adversity, move onwards and upwards even after we’ve been rejected and have faith. We can make a difference too – either by crossing a border on a rocket or, on a serious note, looking for alternatives to oil. Sure, we can take it too far, but as the top of the music category shows, true friends will always forgive us our excesses.
Animation - ITALY
Clito - This excellent piece of Italian cheekiness needs a little warning before you watch. First, make sure your mother isn’t standing behind you. Or your boss. Clear? Now, you’re ready to enjoy a hilarious and possibly educational film about the life and love life of our nether regions.
Documentary - ITALY
GREATER – Defeating Aids – This film pulls together various stories about a group of Ugandan women who are HIV positive, but this is anything but a mainstream piece of work. Inspiring characters, full of zest for life, tell us their stories, and show us their dances.
Looking for Genius - USA
Jilted – The Puppini Sisters – In this sumptuous 5 minute film (a budget of $4000? Impossible no?) we are told a story about a woman who’s been dumped and takes her revenge on all the men who have ever left her. Duel by Popcorn is just one of the original ideas here but the message is an old one: hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Be warned.
Music - NORWAY
Sondre Lerche – this is quirky and fun, just what you expect from the Norwegian music scene, but here we have a snappy tune and an engaging video to boot. Sondre Lerche is the singer who manages to control the camera with his hands but the power goes to his head and he doesn’t want to share the limelight with his band. They turn into a horse-headed gang who chase him but it all works out fine in the end. Scandinavian diplomacy in action.
Short Film - USA
Officer Down – Holding on to first place in this category, this is a compelling story about a bad cop turned good, or about faith working miracles. This film just keeps on scoring highly with Babelgum audiences – it’s a praise fest. Strong writing, acting and direction.
Social/Environment - ITALY
Fill – A man fills up his car at a lonely petrol station and is haunted by the voices and sounds of all the suffering caused in the name of oil. A single drop of blood drips as he replaces the pump. This one appealed to Italian BOFFers in particular but anyone on this planet will appreciate its simplicity in conveying an important message.
Spot/Advertising - FRANCE
The Pocket Crossborder – An ad for the quickest and easiest way of crossing a border – be a human cannonball. Only don’t try this at home or on a border you can legitimately get across because helmet and armour are not included, ok? This film rocketed in the Babelgum audience’s views – no less than Charlie Kaufman wrote a post and George Lucas commented “may the force be with you”. Who said Babelgum doesn’t have friends among Hollywood’s royalty!
The Categories:
• The Babelgum Short Film Award
• The Babelgum Looking For Genius Award
• The Babelgum Animation Award
• The Babelgum Music Video Award
• The Babelgum Social / Environment Award
• The Babelgum Spot / Advertising Award
• The Babelgum Documentary Award
The Judging Process:
• Babelgum users are now voting in their thousands and having their say on who will become the next big filmmaking talent. A shortlist of films will be reached through a combination of factors: users’ votes, the amount of times a film is viewed, the amount of posts and comments and the number of times a film is linked
• The shortlist will then be judged by the BOFF Jury, led by renowned director Spike Lee. The other jurors consist of film experts from across the globe, including the directors of established film festivals, film schools and film industry associations:

Call It Arson's "Moth Wash" streaming on AbsolutePunk.net
Moth Wash, the latest release from New Haven, Connecticut's Call It Arson is currently streaming at Absolutepunk.net. You can listen to both songs from the upcoming 7-inch here.
Additionally, Kill Normal Records is now offering the vinyl for pre-order. Go here to get yours.
Limited to 500 and pressed on black and yellow / white vinyl, the label will be shipping the 7-inches at the end of April. The album's official release date is May 20th. Also, all orders will include free high-quality mp3's.
Undoubtedly two of the best songs that the band has committed to tape, Call It Arson evokes contemporaries such as Chamberlain, Karate and Waxwing. Their sound ranges from a deep, slow burn to sustained explosions of energy and aggression. Any way you slice it, the Connecticut four piece always manages to come across as unquestionably earnest, heartfelt and compelling.
Moth Wash was recorded at God City Studios with Kurt Ballou (Converge). And for all you audiophiles, both songs were analog recorded, mixed and mastered, and then pressed directly to vinyl.
