Amy G, "a comic powerhouse" (Sydney Morning Herald) presents "a studied combination of elegance and slapstick" (Irish Times) on circles, perfectionism, beauty, love and other bad ideas. Featuring original music on ukulele and doublebass (Jon Keay), "a spectacular voice," and some explict content with mild to seething cultural significance.
With so much spin, where she stops nobody knows.
Amy G is a revolutionary cabaret comedienne, described by The Australian as "a comic powerhouse." Her audacious style - a fearless mix of physical, musical and improvisational comedy - has thrilled audiences the world over, including Broadway's New Victory Theatre, The Sydney Opera House, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Adelaide International Festival, Festival International de Teatro de Bogota and Montreal's monster comedy festival, Just For Laughs. Most recently she's been storming London's variety scene, the German cabaret, and premiering her latest show, Round She Goes, internationally at the Dublin Fringe and in NY at Spiegelworld. Ms. G is a regular with the illustrious variete, La Clique, with whom she's played seasons in New York (2006 "Absinthe"). Melbourne, Montreal, Dublin, Sydney, and Adelaide. As lead comedienne and co-creator of the Daredevil Opera Company, she starred in their pyrotechnic clown shows, Cirkus Inferno and Rocket and Roxy's Stunt Show over 600 times in 23 countries. About MANIAC:
"Maniac is a heavy metal album that will fit as well in 1985 as it will in 2008. Many people describe us as thrash band, really we're a metal band with a lot of
influences, you'll hear a lot of Megadeth and Exodus in us, as well as more classic Maiden and Judas Priest. We like to keep things fast and heavy, but at
the same time harmony and melody are very important. We haven't forsaken everything that is new, but we've definately tried to hold true to what classic metal really is. Our album can hold its own against any of the metal classics, and will blow any of this new metal stuff right out of the water" - Michael Andreas: Lead Guitar and Founding Member of MARTYRD

The Bramblemen release"Fast Train To Memphis"
THE BRAMBLEMEN
"FAST TRAIN TO MEMPHIS"
on Sonic Tonic Records
www.myspace.com/thebramblemen
Featuring ten original songs written by Rich Bloom ( Guitar and Vocals), "FAST TRAIN TO MEMPHIS" combines elements of early R&R, Rockabilly, Country and R&B to create an album with real Rock & Roll flavor for the modern era. The CD features the talents of Steve Holley (Wings drummer), Bill Cunningham (Box Tops bassist), Ian Lloyd (Stories "Brother Louis", Foreigner, Bryan Adams), Producer Richard Mazda (Wall of Voodoo, Fleshtones, Nick Cave, The Fall, AWB, JBs), Kramer (Prod. Urge Overkill's "Girl You'll be a Woman Soon" "Pulp Fiction Soundtrack"), Emory Joseph (writer for Bonnie Raitt), Eric Ambel (guitarist for Steve Earle & Joan Jett's BlackHearts), Jon Graboff (guitarist Ryan Adams), Tommy Frenzy (Tuff Darts) and Stefan Mazunik (great sax player with NYC Bands, Gato Loco and New York Howl). The Bramblemen's two music videos, “Tijuana Flower” and “Fast Train to Memphis” (included on cd) were directed by one time IRS Records producer and artist Richard Mazda. Mazda produced one of IRS Records most enduring hits, “Mexican Radio,” and here he also co-produces the title track of the album, “Fast Train to Memphis,” along with Harley Fine.
About "Fast Train to Memphis":
"This album represents my true passion for Real Rock and Roll and film, with many of the songs offering tribute to various classic genres that influenced me.”Fast Train to Memphis" is a noir type story that utilizes the musical flavor of southern R&B. "Tijuana Flower" is a Tex-Mex tribute to musicians like The Sir Douglas Quintet (Doug Sahm) and the story line incorporates imagery from the James Dean film "Giant." "Drag Strip Rally" tries to evoke the early sounds of the Beach Boys, Ronny & the Daytona’s California car/surf culture. "DreamWorld" tries for a Roy Orbison flavor (big note finish), "Weekend Fever" is an Elvis Presley type "Follow that Dream" narrative, with a Johnny Cash type of twang. "Real Gone Man (from Alabam'), "Cold Beer & Red Hot Women," and "Crazy Little Be-Bop Girl" were all songs I wrote for the film project I had started and they all have an early Country, Rockabilly feel. "Long Road Back," was described as Roy Orbison meets Creedence, a swampy southern style rocker with a film like story narrative. "Your Good Man's Gone" was influenced by "Exile on Main Street" era Rolling Stones, combining Rock and Roll, country twang and horn driven R & B. It was re-mixed and stripped down by Kramer for a more straight ahead rocking groove." - Rich Bloom: Words, Music, and Guitars for The Bramblemen
The Bramblemen started as a project to record a soundtrack for a movie treatment that Rich Bloom was writing. It continued on when Rich Bloom re-kindled his working relationship with NYC prod. Harley Fine, who had been in previous bands with Bloom. Bloom and Harley Fine had worked in bands in the early 80's where they played in clubs like CBGB'S and attracted the attention of Shawn Colvin's early management. Bloom continued to work with bands (including Bramblemen drummer Ed Watkins and Garland Jeffries guitarist Alan Freedman) playing clubs like Kenny's Castaways and the Bitter End. Bloom was working in the graphics field, producing soundtracks for sales meeting presentations and rock concerts including The Clash's historic run of shows at Bond's and Public Image Ltd. at Roseland. It was here he got to work with famed prod. Stewart Lerman (Alison Krause, Joe Jackson, Dar Williams, Jules Shear) on these projects when both were starting out. Lerman produced a song that Bloom co-wrote with keyboardist Benny Harrison that featured the talents of legendary Rascals' Eddie Brigati and Gene Cornish and sung by Harrison. Bloom dropped out for many years before starting the Bramblemen in 2006 with Ed Watkins, Michael Bodycomb and later Evan Mazunik.

MANIAC will unleash a thrash metal attack that captures what MATYRD's growing fan base have loved and admired. The title track can be described as a slightly schizo ride through the head of a madman forced on antipsychotic drugs, the track "Betrayal" displays the band's technical wizardry, for the ladies there is the ballad "Six", and of course fast and heavy neck-breakers like "Blue and Black" and "Soldier of Fortune."

The Secret Theatre was opened to the public on September 5, 2007. The studio's conception and construction enabled Artistic Director and Owner Richard Mazda to fulfill a life long dream. Its inaugural show, Atonement, written by Joel Schatzky and directed by Rich Ferraioli, is a deeply touching story of a terminally ill man who must make peace with both his past and present. We strive to enrich the New York theatre scene by fostering a unique, creative environment in Long Island City, an ideal location for such a venture. An up-and-coming area with a vibrant, burgeoning art scene, Long Island City is home to P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, Silvercup Studios East, the Noguchi Museum, the Socrates Sculpture Park and The Queens Players.
The Bramblemen started as a project to record a soundtrack for a movie treatment that Rich Bloom was writing. It continued on when Rich Bloom re-kindled his working relationship with NYC prod. Harley Fine, who had been in previous bands with Bloom. Bloom and Harley Fine had worked in bands in early 80's where they played in clubs like CBGS and attracted the attention of Shawn Colvin's early mangement. Stewart Lerman (Dar Williams, Jules Shear) on these projects when both were starting out.

About "Fast Train To Memphis":
"This album represents my true passion for Real Rock and Roll and film, with many of the songs offering tribute to various classic genres that influenced me. "Fast Train to Memphis" is a noir type story that utilizes the musical flavor of southern R&B. "Tijuana Flower" is a Tex-Mex tribute to musicians like The Sir Douglas Quintet (Doug Sahm) and the story line incorporates imagry from the James Dean film "Giant." "Drag Strip Rally" tries to evoke the early sounds of the Beach Boys, Ronny & the Daytonas California car/surf culture. "Long Road Back," was described as Roy Orbison meets Creedence, a swampy southern style rocker with a film like story narrative." - Rich Bloom: Words, Music, and Guitars for The Bramblemen
The Bramblemen started as a project to record a soundtrack for a movie treatment that Rich Bloom was writing. It continued on when Rich Bloom re-kindled his working relationship with NYC prod.
