The Evil Pyramid

Most Americans do not realize how blessed we still truly are. On September 11th 2001, our nation was attacked and yet most Americans still are blessed despite the horrific tragedies that were dealt seemingly at random by a handful of terrorists and extremists or Islamists as Lou Dobbs from CNN pegged them. In the days, weeks, and months that have followed there has been a quiet movement to continue to strip away those blessings. It's been at times loud and brash but most of the time it is quiet, demonizing itself slowly but surely as only a deadly and contagious virus can. So count your blessings and hold on tight, this is sure to be a ride for most.

One day the President of the United States, whom the Supreme Court nominated to serve the GOP and corporate whores of America, made a speech and stated how the United States would thwart the "axis of evil". The most grievous mistake of that speech was not the rhetoric and craftily hidden political agenda but the lack of inclusion of several key figures in the very real "pyramid of evil". See for us to fully understand what has been carefully planned whether at the White House, in Congress, or even in the Bohemian Grove we have to figure out the structure and then we can understand the depth and utter evil genius of the goal that this administration has had since the upheaval of the election process in late 2000.

The plan began as a simple construct-get a puppet in office that can be controlled, that has an utter lack of willpower, original thought, and spine, and then we'll go from there. So in secret the plans were established with the greatest alibi of all time. They could do it all and make it so obvious that no one would suspect and the nay-sayers would just look partisan and obtuse rather than just a casual observant or political watch dog. So with W. they went and they imagined that it wouldn't be as hard as previously thought. Was it a coincidence that the major players in the election crisis in Florida were all on Bush's side? No because they had been since the very day that it was decided that this would be the puppet they used. His brother was the governor of Florida and they'd even throw him some kickbacks-no oil leases off the coast of Florida-without the threat of pissing off the Oil Giants who wished to have a new pipeline constructed in a little war-torn country known as Afghanistan. But we'll get to the pipeline and the kickbacks thrown to the Oil Giants later. Did we question why the Secretary of State Katherine Harris who was the head of Bush's election campaign in Florida decided to say what ballots were used and which ones went straight to Pat Buchanan who himself said how surprised he was how many voters "voted" for him in Florida. Did we even question how we gave the Judicial Branch unchecked power in establishing the winner of the election that was without precedent?

And so it began. Unfortunately for Americans everywhere we tend to be a bit hard of hearing as well as hard headed. We didn't pay any attention to the energy policy that would be crafted by Texans who worked for a little-known company named Enron under the auspices of evil-pyramider Dick Cheney. In the days that followed the worst attack on the United States since Pearl Harbor, we weren't told how Bin Laden's family that was present in the United States at the time were allowed to fly back to Saudi Arabia meanwhile all the airports were closed and all airplanes except for a few dozen that were flying the pyramid dwellers were grounded. We didn't listen when we were told that Bin Laden had not only been trained by Bush Sr.'s CIA (while he was the director of the CIA) not to mention how he contributed to little W's campaign. We didn't think there was any coincidence that the Taliban who didn't support the oil and natural gas pipeline that both Congress and Unocal Corporation wanted to install through the Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. Have we thought about how our energy consumption is slowly branching off towards "natural gas" and the fact that John Maresca, Vice President of International Relations for Unocal Corp. was quoted as saying that the region has approximately 200 billion barrels and that "western corporations could increase production to about 4.5 million barrels a day". No we didn't listen. We closed our eyes and our ears and turned on CNN, MSNBC, and the Fox News Channel for our up-to-the-second coverage of the War on Terrorism. Maresca posed the question to Congress on February 12th 1998-"how to get the region's vast energy resources to the markets where they are needed". He went on to describe how the region was isolated both politically and geographically and had unsettled wars and how the current pipeline infrastructure was pointed towards Russia. Russia who was not interested in gaining more oil mostly because they just can't afford the costly product at the rate the Oil Giants want to sell it at not to mention their growth consumption rate was only half to one percent every year. But we, Americans could certainly afford it! That's why the Automobile Giants have been making SUVs so inefficient and yet so popular so we have to buy as much oil as humanly possible. He went on to explain to the eager and intently listening Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific of the Committee on International Relations a pipeline couldn't be put through Iran because of US legislative sanctions and how "the only other possible route is across Afghanistan, which has of course its own unique challenges." He continued to say "we have made it clear that construction of the pipeline we have proposed across Afghanistan could not begin until a recognized government is in place that has the confidence of governments, lenders, and our company." And so began the intricate planning while we all sat around discussing an intern and her infidelities with our esteemed President only to later play "Where in the World is Chandra Levy".

Do we Americans wonder why Clinton as well as Bush refused to sign the Land Mine Ban Treaty in a sense joining other evil axis countries like Iraq, North Korea, and Libya? No. Instead we focus on Celebrity Boxing and Who Wants to Be Married to a Millionaire and get stirred up about reflections of Monica Lewinsky and how awful the elected Bill Clinton was. We don't pay attention to the politically motivated announcement of the arrest of "dirty bomb" Jose Padilla by Attorney General John Ashcroft although it did take five weeks and several Administration embarrassments before its release to the American public. We don't question how the FBI who is renowned for their intelligence gathering and action on intelligence (see Sept. 11th) nor why they had to pay some $3 million to several environmentalists after a court determined that the FBI tried to frame them for planting a bomb in '90. But we shouldn't be surprised to learn this after a Ruby Ridge or Waco incident or two. Interestingly enough the CIA gathered intelligence in January 2000 about how Padilla was meeting with al Qaeda forces in Malaysia yet didn't try to inform the Immigration services in an attempt to stop him from re-entering the US. We also don't wonder why the FBI and CIA both of whom have come under scrutiny and which forced the Bush administration to draw up a plan in secret and in less than a week (without consulting any experts whatsoever) to form a new Cabinet-level department for Homeland security which wouldn't include the FBI or CIA. We also don't scratch our heads at wondering what kind of influence FEMA will have over this new department as it's a well-known fact that FEMA can declare a state of emergency for the United States thus suspending all Constitutional rights and putting their organization in sole power of the US.

So the evil pyramid continued to build and fortify it's positions noting that it had no problem destroying or using one of its own to strengthen its chokehold over the US or even the world. Minutes after the first plane had hit the first tower of the World Trade Center, I remember hearing people in my office say "it must have been Bin Laden". Why would we instantly put the blame on him? Was it because we were prepared to think this way already? We had certainly listened to all the media outlets before and certainly after 9/11 talk about how Bin Laden had "declared war" on America because of US forces being present in Saudi Arabia during the Persian Gulf War. We never questioned the authencity of the videotape that was "found in a home" in Afghanistan that pictured a blurry Osama joking presumably because of the attacks on the US which to even the most cynical was to seal his motives and not to mention his evil-axis-like persona. Combine that with the "evidence" that not one official has presented to the American public or even to the world leaders or even the UN. So they got their "stable" government in Afghanistan with the help of a few hundred bombs, bullets, and smear campaigns while sacrificing the occasional wedding party or two. So why did we never get Osama dead or alive as Bush announced so long ago? And why was the outpouring of supposed experts like Atwan who suggested how much Bin Laden hated America and how he had threatened us with "action not words" not to mention all the propaganda that was poured on thick prior to 9/11. Well it worked to a tee didn't it? Most black ops do just look at Kennedy's assassination. We all shook our heads in disbelief as to why a creature like bin Laden (who was trained by Bush's CIA) would ever do such a thing. We never wonder where the Saudi influence begins nor ends-would it be too much to scratch our head and wonder Where in the World is Osama without combining that with the dead-or-alive Texan style rhetoric? Why aren't we concerned about him anymore or the American military produced Anthrax that was sent to several prominent Democrats just a few months ago. Whatever happened to that investigation and who was behind the military-grade anthrax and how did they get hold of it and why did they send it to those particular people? No we turn our attention to other brainbusters like the horrendous damage (all $12000 of it) that the Clinton administration apparently left behind at the White House as they moved out in late January of 2001. Nicholas Kristof wrote two editorials for the New York Times where he cited a "Mr. Z" as a possible suspect for the anthrax mailings as well as a previous attack that occurred on April 24th 1997 at the B'nai B'rith headquarters in Washington D.C. In that case it wasn't anthrax that was sent but a mislabeled "anthracks" that in reality was the non-toxic cousin of real anthrax, bacillus cereus, which of course has been used by our very own Department of Defense. Why the connection? Well in the anthrax attacks of late 2001 the letter within suggested that the opener of the letter take "penacilin". But Mr. Z, who is an expert in bio-warfare obviously wants to place blame at Arab terrorists which explain the misspellings as well as the Jewish target which was a target of previous Muslim terrorists. Apparantly Mr. Z was very upset at his lack of inclusion in a prominent conference related to his field and after the B'nai B'rith attacks, which he continued to cite in an effort to emphasize the importance of his field to national security. Oddly enough Mr. Z who has spent time in the counter terror realm as well as work in labs closely with both wet and dry versions of anthrax. The '97 attack only used a fake wet version, which coincided with when he and his colleagues were working with wet-only anthrax and the subsequent attacks including the Old Executive Office Building in Washington where Mr. Z had given a briefing months before, contained dry anthrax also inline with when he began work on dry anthrax. Mr. Z whose name is anonymous for obvious reasons has been thought to be a suspect by the FBI but it seems that this investigation does not pose the importance of other investigations like the investigations of more than a hundred field agents on Clinton's sexual disparities. And talk about timing, the attacks came right as Congress was voting for the USA Patriot Act which gives law enforcement and the government even more power in surveillance (now without proper warrants) and search-and-seizures, including the right for police to not give proper warning that they are going to search personal property effectively crushing the Fourth Amendment. So why did Congress vote for it? Perhaps they felt a bit of pressure since it was deemed unpatriotic to not vote for it and according to the Republican Representative of Texas Ron Paul most Congressmen did not even read the Bill before voting for it.

But is it any wonder we don't question these things? After all we know they're listening in. Even if the CIA and NSA don't exactly act on apparent threats or coded messages in a timely manner we still know that they may be listening. Even the mighty Echelon system which German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported gave up to 3 months of an advance warning to both the United States, Britain, and Israel. If'you've never heard of Echelon you're not alone although no government has ever denied or agreed that it exists, it's rumored to be a vast collection network of electronic transmissions that utilizes 120 different satellites to monitor the entire world. Israel must have found some sort of credible threat as they installed a unique X-ray machine in Tel Aviv's airport capable of detecting every know explosive material. Did the US do anything? We upped the ante on surveillance but argued over the prevention techniques with typical Washingtonian grunts. But you can still hear the politicians spin the old "but we're Americans and we have rights that most others can't enjoy" followed by the ridiculous "so if you just put up with this for a little while and stay vigilant we'll make it all better". So we put up with the censoring of "obscene" statues in the Justice department. We put up with the unlawful jailing of hundreds of Arab Americans because if "you're not with us, you're against us." And heck who can blame us when an Israeli company called Amdocs, who provides billing and directory assistance to 90% of all the phone companies in the US or the other Israeli company Comverse Infosys which has the ability to wiretap and listen in on any and all conversations including those in the White House (ever wonder about the Ken Starr report where Clinton tells Monica that their conversations were recorded). And why should we question that? After all the American taxpayers and phone users pay for such a service most specifically to help out the War on Drugs and now it'll be used for the War on Terrorism, maybe these could be combined into the War on American Citizens and their Rights.

But that was just one of many alarming facts that Carl Cameron of Fox News dug up when he did a four part story on an Israeli spy ring operating within the United States before and after 9/11. Oh but the pundits and critics will fire up in spin mode for that whopper. They'll say "this must be a case of Anti-Semitism" or "next thing you know he'll say we didn't land on the Moon" or even that all the X-file stories are real. But that's to be expected from a nation who shrugs at the facts that we put thousands of Japanese in prison camps and that we blacklisted people from Hollywood as communists. Despite J. Edgar Hoover's death we still live in his wake of grumpy paranoia that is government sponsored. After all it's too much to fathom the notion that Odigo employees (another Israeli company) were warned hours before the WTC was even hit by the first plane by an apparent insider. So why would they warn Odigo Systems employees in New York yet not warn the Israeli-owned security company ICTS that handled security at Logan International Airport that two of the airplanes were to depart from? One would think if you knew about that and had any semblance of guilt you'd make at minimum a veiled effort to stop the impending attack. But I guess the guilt didn't run too deep as a few Israelis presumably spies were arrested in New Jersey in their white van owned by the Weehawken, N.J. moving company called Urban Moving Systems as they were seen celebrating outside of New York City on 9/11. Oh heck, anyone can celebrate, this is America, you're allowed to be ridiculous and spiteful even cynics are enjoyed from time to time. Then again they did have boxcutters, $4000 in cash, and a couple new passports, odd things for people working in a moving company to have in their possession. It was even confirmed that this moving company's headquarters was a letter drop address not to mention that the "owner" of the moving company, Dominik Otto Suter, fled back to Israel. And what happened to these apparent Moussad spies? They were detained for a few months, questioned, subjected to lie detector tests, and then deported to Israel even after two of the men were confirmed to indeed be on a FBI/CIA list of Moussad operatives. But we're not supposed to know such things. It's all been classified and there has been no indictments. That's exactly why John Ashcroft ordered news coverage of this very topic to be suppressed. But why should we worry about this? He protects our Constitutional rights every day right after he leads his prayer group each morning in the Justice Dept. so he must have our best interests as a free nation in mind. Maybe he's just a bit on the grumpy side because he lost his senate seat to a dead man.

Before we go and start counting hairs we have to wonder why this goes on. Why would Israel or for that matter any Israeli spy go to such great lengths to harm our nation and why would we ignorantly let it happen? For money, power, greed, oil, and all things in between. What are the interests of these groups and the interests of the people that lead our country (whether or not they were really elected is a sidestep)? Well what one thing can accomplish all of those goals and make a heapload of money for a lot of interested and powerful parties? A war. The Oil Giants whom Cheney and Bush have worked with and had investments with get their pipeline and they get their oil. Israel gets a war on its Arabic neighbors, just see Gulf War Part 2 coming to a Middle Eastern nation near you. Not to mention the discrediting of the Palestinian Authority most especially Yassar Arafat. Furthermore the vast array of Defense Department military contracts, the missile defense shield, and the massive amount of government money that will hopefully pull America out of its slow-growth recovery of its first recession in several years. So here you have your Evil Pyramid with the foundation of Israel and the Bush administration along with the Oil Giants at the top. The modus operandi could be any number of various angles. But it comes down to two basic needs - power and money. Imagine the influence that our President has as the most popular President to never be legally elected. Two hundred billion barrels of oil for the Oil Giants while all the trigger-happy military leaders get their war. And Israel gets to continue to conduct a slow genocide of Palestinians-their own reverse Holocaust. I don't think for a second that anyone regardless of who or what planned the attack thought that it was going to be as devastating as it turned out to be.

So what of the victims? Well unfortunately even though 9/11 is past us the casualties are still adding up. The constant anxiety of the next terrorist attack that is triggered by the endless and color-coded warnings from our government is but one of the constant reminders. Our economy as it suffers through more Bush-sponsored mistakes such as our debt ceiling being increased, the tax-cut for the rich, the constant corporate scandals that lead us to ask whether Kenneth Lay and Bush are still best friends, not to mention all the lost jobs that are caused by the upheaval. Trust in Wall Street has declined as Big Brother quenches his thirst with our civil liberties that are abused thanks to the USA Patriot Act. Meanwhile we Americans in our truly hypocritical patriotism plaster flags and "God Bless America" stickers all over our SUVs that burn oil faster than a departing Iraqi army. Maybe a sticker that says "If you drive an SUV you support terrorism" should be in the works. We should cast some doubt over the millions of dollars the US government paid for advertisements that warned us that if we buy drugs we're helping the terrorists win. After all couldn't that money have been better spent elsewhere? The amount of money we continue to spend on the War on Drugs could perhaps be better spent on the War on Terrorism or shockingly enough on Americans in need. But we'll only mumble this begrudgingly, saying "well I can't do anything to instill change". After all look at the last Presidential election. Who knew 1984 should have been 2001?
